Errors causing Crash during Start-Up

Thu Jul 10, 2008 1:14 am

I purchased the game on Monday, and was able to play it for a bit with no issues, using the beta patch on the forums.

On Tuesday, I noticed that on the Main Menu there is an option for auto-update, and I pressed it. It then auto-updated. When I tried to play the game, it crashed (always at loading game data 2/3).

I uninstalled the game, and reinstalled it, but I am still unable to play due to this error.

Any suggestions?

Hi JackoWords,

sorry for the trouble. Unfortunately was a problem with this patch. After uninstalling the game delete the game folder and re-install it.
A new patch is currently tested and will be released soon.

Cheers
Norbert

Prima;

Thank you for the quick reply!

Unfortunately, (although I did not mention it) I did try what you suggested, and deleted the Wars in America folder before reinstallation.

I will wait for the patch. :)

same problem

I too downloaded and ran the 1.01 patch. got the same crash mentioned above.

i then uninstalled the game and deleted all folders. upon re-installing with the patch, i got the same error.

am i to assume that the patch is corrupt, should i re-install without patching the game?

please advise and thanks in advance for your assistance.
