windows 7 problem

I just installed BoA2 on my new Windows 7 Machine. The new computer is fully patched, newest drivers, and well beyond the system requirements.

However, several turns into any scenario the whole thing locks up. Screen goes orange with black horizontal stripes. No error message or anything. In fact, it locks the computer up so completely I have to reset by hard booting.

I looked through the forums but did not see any similar issue. This happens in every scenario I have tried. I did notice, at least in the last 2 crashes, they both occurred when I clicked on an event description.

Please help.

Try these tips:

Note the second and third sections to install a somewhat more friendly enviornment.

If that doesn't fix it, we'll need to look at your !MainLog.txt, found in \WIA\Logs

Do investigate lodilefty's suggestions.
My experience with Window 7 is that you must:
1. Run as an administrator either by right clicking and selecting run as admin or by permanently setting the run option.
or
2. Change your screen resolution. Works for others, not me.

There is a small bug with the last few patches which may be triggering your problem. Occasionally, when you click on a battle resolution or an event description, the game crashes.
My solution is to save the game before I check the ledger. This way, if the game does crash, I come right back to the place where I check the event log. It's occurrence is occasional. While I cannot always see all battle results as a consequence, this is a small issue.
