[Bug report] Double expedition

Sat Dec 31, 2011 3:04 pm

I am playing the war of 1812 and here is what happened

[See attached file]

Yep, the expedition happened twice.

I cannot post the save as Loki is the master, but I asked him to do it or to send the files to me.

Regards :)

Please do that. :)
Looking at the DB, there is no obvious error...

Are you both using same version of the game?
Which version?

It might be an issue on our side, too, as there were some "going back to the previous turn." could that explain it ?

Anyway, the files should be available soon.

I once saw a wierd problem with Frontenac arriving twice in test of KWW. Eventually I realised it was because I had briefly turned off the AI. There was an AI only event that introduced Frontenac and a Human only event that introduced him (not much difference in the events - only the location he arrived - to prevent the AI putting him into a daft area).

I doubt it is anything like that but I just thought I would mention it.

Cheers, Chris

Possibly. The Cockburn expedition has a human-event and an AI-event.

Hi, here's the hst and trn files. As Narwhal says I mucked up the turn sequence so we had to go over the Aug-Nov 1814 turns a couple of times.

The best I can see is that your load/reload manipulations somehow confused the game re: AI setting.

Attached is a corrected save, ready to play with only 1 Cockburn arrival!

To be safe, in PBEM games the players should turn off the "AI Active" choice in Main Menu.

OK - thank you very much, Loli.

It turns out the troops were sent to garrison Terre Neuve, a very strategical place as you may know, and we just carried one.

Sorry for lost time for you.
