Winter movement

Fri Nov 14, 2008 11:42 pm

I've played all 3 campaigns, FIW, AWI and 1812, as the British against the AI. In all 3 it seems that Athena suffers huge losses from marching around needlessly in the winter when it would make more sense just to sit and wait. I usually play with normal aggression and not much of a detection bonus so that the AI doesn't try to storm distant undefended objectives. Can anything be done to try and stop winter movement by Athena?

Any updates on this issue at all?

It really makes it to easy just to wait for the AI to wear it's armies down through attrition, then attack them while they lay siege in January......

And this is with hardened attrition off for the AI.

We're looking at it...

Thanks.

Enjoy the game very much, and it seems this is the only issue I have noticed with an otherwise crafty AI.
