1.0a

Got a prob with the morale coefficient tooltip when related to the actual number displayed on the top left (first top) indicator box.

It shows 89 but the tooltip indicates 95%. Might be wad? I didnt have a single minute today to play or print the manual but i saw this issue this morning after installation and first run.

EDIT: Be advised, 1.00a didn't show up in splash screen. Still showing 1.0.

Just push on to 1.0b... Its available now in the forum, or on the WIA website.

It is WAD, the morale coefficient is the translation, in effectiveness, of the morale. With morale 50, the coefficient is 75% eg.

1.00a was just a data patch, so the executable was not changed.

Patch 1.01 available :fleb:

Be careful, autoupdate isn't ready for this patch so you can only download it on forum and launch it manually

Have fun !

Perhaps it's too soon, you posted just 5 min ago but the 1.00b doesn't show any new versions available. :)

There is a small delay from the time a patch is released till it is available on the download provider's servers.

EDIT: On the webpage, it's 1.01 at least (seemingly): http://ageoddl.telechargement.fr/latest/WIA_Patch.zip

Fixed it myself but I think everyone will be affected.

There are two files called 1299Playboard48.rgn in the \WIA\GameData\Regions folder. I fixed the error by removing the older one.

Thanks,
RtG

It appears to be an ascii character [] (a box) in the filename, you're right.

But of course there can't be 2 files with the same name in the file system. Good one RtG !!!!

Time to update the installer...patience :)

Now i wanna use this reputation button on RtG's post!

Pacthed the game to 1.01 used the fix originally Posted by RtG, ran the updater and it showed that a new patch is avilable (1.02) so I patched it and ... the game crashed. I noticed that there are some problems with "french" fonts in Wars in America\WIA\GameData\Regions.
These files are doubled :
63Sainte AgnŐs.rgn and 63Sainte Agnčs.rgn
65Saint AdŐle.rgn and 65Saint Adčle.rgn
178Rivičre des Outaouais.rgn and 178RiviŐre des Outaouais.rgn
179Rivičre Rideau.rgn and 179RiviŐre Rideau.rgn

Found this in the error log

RE-apply the fix suggested by RtG and do not re-patch until Hok says it's green light.

Re-patched back to 1.01 and re-applied the fix already and it is still crashing. The new patch must be changing something that the previous one did not.

I downloaded the 1.01 patch yesterday and installed it on top of 1.00b.

No crashes so far. Have I done something wrong?

I got something similar like Carnium.I installed WIA 1.00 and the latest patch and got an application error and therefore a ctd. I have not yet checked the error log,but if you want I can send it to you.I am using Windows XP Home on a new PC.After re-install I did not use the patch anymore and wait for a new one.But I am happy to have the new game,'cause I am an AGEOD game addict...*grin* :siffle:

heartly greetings

I am playing 1.01 just fine like [B]Paul Roberts[B] on Vista, after removing the doubled province from the first installer.

I do rarely get a dropped order, the game asks if it should continue despite errors, and I respond "oui".

I applied the patch (when it first came out) and then RTG's fix which fixed the crash. Should I just install the new patch (when available) over that. Or should I uninstall and start over from scratch ??

Thanks.

I'd recommend uninstall, reinstall and patch. :)
