The most comprehensive source material for the FIW

Sat Aug 01, 2015 11:19 am

Outstanding site for all the info you ever dreamed of for the French And Indian War, and the years leading up to it. Original source material, Links off each article and no battle or skirmish left out. Even some original itemization for the cost of the colonies 1st siege or Louisbourg during King's Georges War 10 years earlier. Will put you in the mood for a campaign for sure.

A great companion piece is the Documentary the War that made America. They don't use talking heads and drawings, but actually use all the authentic uniforms. Built their own cabins and Indian settlements as well as Forts and trenches. Highlighting at times Washington and how this war put him on the map( mostly for bad reasons), other times following Montcalm or the Indians. All perspectives, British, Canadian, Indian, French, and Colonial Americans are covered. And it is visually impressive.
