Combat Delayment

Mon Dec 30, 2013 11:15 pm

Me and my opponent Lindi wondered which option was more fair for the 7 years war scenario: medium or long delayment? What do you think?

Also, which option is more realistic in your opinion?

Delay settings depend upon your conception of the nature of engagements. Medium is the one which seems most realistic to me.

As to which is more 'fair,' there are two potential meanings - 1) most balanced in not favoring one side or the other, and 2) fair in giving the more disadvantaged side a bit of a boost.
As the burden is on the French early on, their light forces are slightly advantaged with medium delay. This provides play balance by slightly favoring the French.

But it is such a small difference, that the preference for how delay works for you and your opponent is actually more important.
