Replacements

Mon Aug 16, 2010 2:19 pm

During the middle of my French Colonial Campaign I Switched to Great Britain to see if Great britain has light infantry, After some digging :sherlock: I ve found some. :) but France has 5 light infantry replacements but not any light infantry I have found in the ledger. Are they skirmishers or irregular? Raiders also have its unique category. Or rifles upgrading to light infantry and I haven't received yet?

Apart from that Great Britain and England have seperate line infantry replacements.

Great Britain Grenadiers showing as line infantry, are they using line inf replacements because they have Elit soldier nato symbol in their unit panel

There are a few "NATO symbol display irregularities" that we are cleaning up for next patch.....

What patch version?

I'll need to dig a bit to see what FRA replacements are "doing". :)

It is the latest beta Lodilefty.

English Gorham Rangers shown as irregular units in the ledger, but they have skirmisher symbol on them as (L) light infantry. During 40 or more turns French didnt have any light infantry, but most of the time he got replacements I observed.

Event about ai replacement , I think there is a problem with definition,

Winter quartering was performed successfully for most of the time by ai. But this time after some battles Forbes Army decided to stay in the region during the winter even he has very little supply left.

Me again :)

After switching to Britain(Just for test purposes :) ) in Colonial Campaign an event fired,

A Grenadier regiment, supply wagon and a transport ship arrived At Halifax Harbour.

I got the supply wagon and transport ship but no regiment of any Grenadier. :( :sherlock:

note: I changed backup one I hope it is the correct one,

There was also an event about Prideaux and Stanwix expected in Albany. Stanwix is already at Albany with supply wagons, but Prideaux didnt arrive yet with regiments.

erf!! Hijacked text string, which didn't get changed when the actual event was changed... :bonk:

To balance play, Many of these "automatic reinforcements" were stripped when the Options to buy units were created. We missed editing the strings in some cases!

Yes, there are many diplomatic and military options about purchasing units in Halifax.

There was also an event about Prideaux and Stanwix expected in Albany. Stanwix is already at Albany with supply wagons, but Prideaux didnt arrive yet with regiments.

At the beginning of the post, I post a picture about GB(Ai) (and a save file) about winter quartering, Forbes Army had 4 supply wagon units(some of the elements depleted). I test it and they were able to build level 2 depot, (for a total of depot level 3) but they didnt, instead they run out of supplies.

Thanks,

Colonial Campaign as France I had 4 light warship replacements(France) from previous turn, passive posture and also docked in harbour Saint Jean(harbour level 1, historical atrition not selected), Flotte De Ternay didnt receive any replacements for Belle Poule.(beautiful name :) )
or any other ship corresponding to unit type.

Note: Hmm I shouldnt post before reading :) Minimum port level must be 3 as written in game data file. :bonk: but Level 6 port is in Saint Domingue all the way to the south :(

..and the units need to have regained 100% supply before repairs begin...

Historically, Shipbuilding was still in it's infancy in the New World. The Brits in particular tried to discourage any "competition" to the home ports. They simply wanted to plunder the Oak trees!
