im playing 'a few acres os snow' and have come across a problem/glitch?

i recently bought a lake champlain bateau and squadron(im playing brits).the squadron arrived in a brit controlled harbour without problems but the bateau arrived at fort william henry with access only to lake george.i havent been able to find a way to get the bateau from there to champlain so id like to know if this is an intended part of the game or a glitch?

in an experiment i ran i found that champlain bateau and squadrons will appear on lake george if the brit player does not currently own a harbout on lake champlain(personally i'd rather recruitment failed rather than have them appear ina totally isolated and useless location).in the above problem i owned 2 harbours on champlain so cant understand the reason for boats appearing on lake george.

i know there is a lake george unit that appears when u build fort william henry, its only units supposed to appear on champlain im concerned with.

IIRC you can get from Lake George to Lake Champlain with bateau if you control the region with Fort Carillon in it and there are no enemy forces in the region.

Correct
You 'portage' between the lakes, but must own Crown Point and keep it clear of enemy troops...

Several portage [plural?] exist:
  • Lake George to South Champlain via Crown Point
  • Lake Champlain to St. Lawrence River via Isle aux Noix
  • Montreal to Lachine Rapids
  • Hudson Mohawk Confluent to Lower Mohawk via Schenectady [Albany]
  • Niagra Mouth [Lake Ontario] to Long Point Bay [Lake Erie] via Tegynagarunte [Ft. Niagra]

Graphic representation of these is on the 'things not done, need graphics guru' list :(
