Anchor Icon British West Indies

Wed Nov 18, 2009 7:48 pm

I am finishing a 1775 campaign under 1.05 and I noticed there is no anchor icon for the British West Indies. I can move British ships in and out of the port, but when the French invaded, there is no place to blockade, that I can tell. Usually you are told what areas need to have a certain number of ship elements to blockade but that seems to be missing.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the missing anchor icon?

Thanks

Joe

P.S. I am looking forward to 1.06, thanks for that!

Hi joe!

That's strange. :bonk:
On my game (1.06) Kingston has his anchor as it should. Check the picture
I don't recall anything related to this being fixed in 1.06... the port should be there in 1.05 too... are you sure the anchor is not obscured by some stack??

Cheers!

Thanks Arsan, seeing the location of the anchor on your screen shot, I wonder if the French Army icon is covering it ( I should have thought of that). I will check when I get home.

Thanks for the help.

I actually had made two mistakes on this. The French army was covering the anchor icon but my biggest mistake was leaving the French fleet in the passive mode so no blockade icon happened.

Once I changed the fleet posture and moved the army icon everthing was fine.

Sorry for the false alarm.

No problem! :)
Better a false alarm than a real bug!
