reinforcement allocation

First of all, sorry if this question was already discussed, but I couldn't find any related thread.

When playing the campaign with the Brits, my main frustration is to see my too rare company reinforcement allocated to units blocked on the other part of the map, but of course not to the fighting units that eagerly need them!!!

I know that the allocation system is base on a availability check on units, but is there a way to influence of help some units to receive reinforcement in priority?

Not much you can do
Being in passive supposedly gives the stack preference for reinforcements.
But i think any unit inside a structure (even in defensive) counts as passive in this regard so all that garrisons will be up there on the list too
You can always blame the big bosses at England for giving replacements to their cousins regiments instead of to the ones you need
