Trying to move gentleman Johnie's guys to Ticonderoga on Lake Champlain from Isle aux Noix. Problem is the boats move but the troops don't. Cant understand, they load alright, but they are still standing in Isle aux Noix.

Hi!

I seems to be a problem already reported: there must be some enemy unit on the Isla au Noix region, probably a sneaky one like Indians, leaders or spies that is hidden to you (not enough detection points on your side).
But the game engine knows the enemy is there and don't let the land units move so they can fight them. :bonk:
This has been looked at and will be solved on the coming 1.05 patch. :coeurs:
Meanwhile, try setting Bourgoyne stack on "evade combat" and check if they can finally move with the ships. :)

Hope it helps!

What version [patch + mods] are you running?

Set the ships on 'Evade Combat'. This works well in 1.05, but I can't recall if it helps in 1.04 :o

I don't know if this is pertinent, but I was moving the other way, from Ft. T to I-aux-N and could unload, but then couldn't 'moor' the ships at the Isle. Then I noticed there is no harbor there.

Unsure if the lack of a harbor pertains to the OP's observation.

I was able to move over Lake Champlain, with troops, and land at Ft.T. with the evade combat order. Using 1.04. I had 100% Tory. Det.4/2.
Lake Champlain Det.- 3/1.
Lake Champlain center Det- 3/1
Thanks.

Glad to hear its was somewhat solved
Lone leaders, spies and even Indian units can be very sneaky! :bonk:
As a rule of thumb, always using evade combat order when trying to load aboard ships seems like a good idea.
