French Admiral Stuck?

Hello,

I had a French Admiral get wounded. He was sent to Amsterdam. (Why not Paris?)

Okay, his fixed time (recovery) is up. I cannot move fleets to Amsterdam. So, Is he lost to me the rest of the War?

I also tried to move him to Paris.

Just curious...

I assume you are playing 1755.. ;)

if so, Amsterdam [and all of Europe] is 'blocked' in scenario setup, and so this is 'ye bug' :(

Can you send the save game with Backup folders going back enough turns to get the turn the Admiral was wounded & sent there?

Please send it to support@ageod.com

Thanks!!

Thanks.

...but we need one turn earlier - so we can execute the battle that put the Admiral there :(

Afraid of court-martial or royal disfavour? :D

Got the saved game, but when I run the turn, the Admiral escapes to Penobsquis to recover his pride.

This is with the newest pre-release patch engine.

With 1.04c engine and Community Mod, the Admiral escapes to Mikmaq village

I can't seem to find game settings to duplicate an escape to Europe :(

So,either:
1. The bug is fixed [which I'm not sure I really believe] :)
-or-
2. We'll have to wait and see :(
I hate to recommend a 'gamey workaround', but if this happens again:
1. Immediately send us the saved turn files and one preceding [\Backup1 folder]. Include in the email or message all your game settings [difficulty, mods, version, etc] and who is hosting.

2. The gamey part: load the previous turn, change any one small order or command [example: move a garrison outside St. Louis or something] and rerun the turn. This is the only way I know to generate a different result.
Thank you for your report and patience.
