Playing FIW, Brits, latest patch and com mod. Sending Lord Howe, activated, fast mover trait, some highlanders and battoemen to Oswego, tool tip says 37 days. How come Murray, activated, with Rogers Rangers some provicials and regulars plus a supply wagon is only going to take 33 days for the same trip? Rogers unit increases speed through rough the same as the battoemen but not with the fording ability. Shouldn't Howes group be a lot quicker? Fast mover, battoemen and NO supply wagon? :tournepas

:confused:

I see no explanation:

  • Both groups get the Ranger bonus [Rogers; Battoemen] for +25% in 'wild areas'
  • The Ranger ability has the bonus terrains in ListParams0, and Family=1
  • There is a River Crossing at Oneida-Oswego {Minor River Crossing}
  • Pontooner ability properly defines the terrains in ListParams0
  • Howe has Fast Mover [+25%] but this may not apply with the Ranger bonus
  • The Wheeled Supply should slow the Rogers stack

So, they should at least see the stack with Supply be slower, not the reverse....

Not sure if this is the reason but on the campaign i'm playing i have noticed that battoemen seems to lose more cohesion while moving the the rest of the units (maybe because low discipline/quality).
As low cohesion units seems to move slower, maybe the "Tired" battoemen are delaying the whole stack?? :confused:

Think it might be the "Fast mover" ability not working. Just had Howe, fast mover, activated, with two regular inf, tool tip says 9 days from Fort William Henry to Fort Carillon. Abercromby, slow mover, activated, with regulars and some provincials with a supply wagon, tool tip says 8 days for the same trip.

Thought I'd put this here rather than start a new thread as it is movement related again.
Playing 1812 scenario, Americans, 1.04c plus community mod. Scott, activated, with a militia unit and light infantry takes 41 days to go from Pittsburgh to Buffalo. Supply wagon on it's own only takes 36 days. I know Scott is moving at the pace of his slowest unit, the militia, but I would of thought they would still be quicker than wagons over that journey. Maybe not though, is this just WAD?
Save included, hence the edit, I didn't forget it , really :D
