Is There A Maximum Army Size?

I ask this because I played a AWI campaign through 1777, and Washington's Continental Army had swollen to 1532 power points. This force would NOT move, even though active, and when I tried to do so, the game crashed. Are there "break points" in number of units/power points for a given stack?
I'm thinking that I should have broken down this unwieldy stack into corps/divisions, Napoleonic-style, rather than putting the mass under one leader.

Not to mention the stack would have a big bullseye on it's head reading "Disease please".

AFAIK, there is no max size, other than your own comfort-level when it comes to out-of-command penalties, but are you sure haven't inadvertently gotten any fixed/static units included in the stack?

Like coastal artillery

, sometimes the culprit, shouldn't cause the CTD though?

That's true; I had overlooked the mention of crashing. Good spotting, Stwa
KG Erwin, have you had any more problems like it, or was it a one time occurrence?

Thanks for asking, but I haven't played the game in the past few days. I'm thinking that I did perhaps inadvertently mix a locked unit or even a naval unit in the stack.

If I have any further problems I'll be sure to report them.

Make sure you do; if there are any problems, we like to get them fixed and sorted out
