Preferred Side to Play As?

Does it depend on the scenario, or do you folks express a preference for one side over another? As an American, I have a built-in bias towards playing as the Colonials, our modern "special relationship" with the Mother Country notwithstanding.

Disclaimer: for those of you who know me from the Matrix forum, I've long expressed admiration for certain "factions", so this should come as no surprise. :D

I'm terribly biased :D

I like to play either side. :w00t:

As part of the 'team', I've advocated 'replay value' in scenario and campaigns.

To me, this means enough variability [without losing the history] to make any given side/scenario worth repeating to see what else can happen :dada:

--and--

Making both sides 'rich enough' in things to see and try to want to replay as the 'other side'

Having said that:
I enjoy Early Colonists, GBR in the FIW, USA otherwise a teeny bit more ;)

I like the French on the French and indian wars and the British on the American independence war :)
I suppose i find the losing side more interesting, as i use to play the CSA on AACW :D

See! This is why we are (could be?) perfect PBEM opponents, we have the exact opposite preferences :D

Of course we are!
The fact that not a single turn had been sent between us ever does not mean we are not perfect PBEM mates! ;)
I hope you will hear form me before the month ends!

I usually like to play the side that has lost the conflict and try to be more successful.
