Yes, it is a well-done series, with emphasis on Washington AND the conributions/effects of Native Americans. Since it is focused on America, this is understandable. As for presenter Graham Greene, this 57 year old character actor is a favorite of mine, and he serves well as narrator of the series.
Also, I got "Last of the Mohicans", starring Daniel Day Lewis. Excellent movie, with the historical focus on the siege of Ft William Henry in 1757. The DVD offers the 117 minute director's cut.
For some strange reason, I find myself drawn to the Colonial faction version of the French & Indian War rather than the Revolutionary War. Perhaps it is because it is so little understood as part of a world war, and it changed the future so much. The results of a French victory are impossible to fathom.
