Help Please?

Sun Feb 07, 2010 5:13 pm

Is there any way to recover a pbem game, if the host (ME:bonk :) was moronic enough to reinstall his operating system forgetting to back up the pbem folder?

All we have is my opponents turn...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The TRN file of your opponent has been stripped of the units of your he don't see (anti cheat trick), so even if you could try renaming the TRN into an HST, I fear you'll miss many of your units, sorry.

Some good advice from the AACW Quick Reference Guide :)

PBEM tip :-
As host zip up and send all of the current turn files to your opponent. If you delete anything by mistake or your PC crashes you will be able to resume the game later (this has saved me on one or two occasions).

Cheers, Chris

you can also send to a gmail account (for storage) the archive you make, if you don't trust enough the other player... (what? you don't trust your comrade in arms?)
