Appreciate it :)

Korrigan, will you do the necessary changes with the ships that came from the Pacific?

And actually, my concern was more of a technical one. For example, a player saves his turn under 1.03, who sends it in to Korrigan, who runs it under 1.04. Now, I'm not sure what will happen if the 1.04 game tries to process a rail move along a now absent rail line, but a game crash seems to me a likely possibility (?). That's why I'm suggesting caution.

Nop, saves 1.03 and 1.04 are compatible.

Rafiki: If the Union is to send me a new ORD file, I prefer you make sure that the Pacific moves are in.

I.e. the ships coming from the Pacific get sent back there?

(My first thought was savegame editing, but ordering them back is of course a lot simpler)

Yes, all the ships who are currently in the Guld and that should bot be there because they should be still locked in San-Francisco must have orders this turn to move back to the Pacific.

Union is IN. Thanks to Jim for adding the final modified orders after the last few days discussions :)

Rumour has it that CSA is also IN, so now we await Korrigan and the turn resolution.

I started a new thread in the campaign forum, a [RP] (Roleplay) thread (Just a small test.. :) ) So every side can read it. If somebody wants to make a newspaper, he could also use the [RP] symbol, so each player can read.

Deadline is sunday. If you haven't heard of your CiC by saturday, be prepared to give orders for him (for the last time, then I'll have to ask for a replacement)

Yes, but I need to speak to Pocus first (we don't work in the same place).

I'll let you know.

Cheers,

Dang, you're up and about early :o

:)

Quick question: I emailed my almost-ready orders to myself so that I could wrap them up at work (before starting work, mind you), but just discovered that my laptop has AACW 1.03; where can I find a download for the 1.04 patch? All I've found hereabout are to 1.05.

I have the file, so send the order file when ready to me (support@ageod.com). I won't process the turn until you give me green light though.

Korrigan has "long since" processed the turn (with 1.04a?) and sent the new turn-file to us.

(I checked the e-mail timestamps; he had it back to us 13 minutes after I sent the Union file; efficient, to say the least, that Korrigan :) )

So what we have to do now with patch 1.05? We need any files, to use the new Division feature?

In the mail Korrigan sent with the union turn-file, he said he'd provide details on what we needed to do, but perhaps Pocus (or others) know too?

did u resolve the turn under 1.05: i ask, due to the obsession of the AGE engine to affect all casualties to one division(without chief) as if its elements were not integrated to a division

Simply add in the general.opt file

RemoveDivHQ = 0

The turn was processed under 1.04a
Next turn will be processed under 1.05a

What to do:

1) Implement the patch
2) Past and copy your whole AGEod's American Civil War directory.
3) Rename it AACW Grand campaign/old games or whatever makes sense to you
4) You have now two versions of AACW installed on your disk
5) In your grand campaign version, edit the general.opt file by adding RemoveDivHQ = 0

You can now give your orders for the Grand campaign
