QwikFixes for NCP version 1.07

Tue Sep 13, 2011 5:16 pm

Apply only AFTER installing patch 1.07

Separated thread to make it clearer what version is discussed

QF2 includes all of QF1.
====================================================================================================
NCP 1.07 QwikFix 2
September 20, 2011
=====================================================================================================
= "Unit Detail" CTD bug fixed

==> Note that AI behavior is changed somewhat in this release. A "More Passive" AI may be seen. Fix in progress (but we want to get the CTD bug fixed)

====================================================================================================
NCP 1.07 QwikFix 1
September 13, 2011
=====================================================================================================
= New parameters in settings to regulate Automatic Experience gain. Bug fixed.
= Ammo non-consumption bug fixed.
= "Scrambled" Battle Reports bug fixed.
= There is now a stack (group)a name memory. Basically when the scenario setup is created the current name is also stored. This has been done (and is very often useful) so that the name of a stack doesn't change as soon as you move a unit out of it, or the reverse. A stack will assume a new name by merging the stack into another unit or stack.
= An insidious bug with the "NotEnemy" script parameter is fixed. (This was part of the issue with the "Hortelez Supply" arriving in Enemy Ports in WIA.)
= Cavalry won't switch posture when crossing a river, even if 100% hostile MC on other side
= Bug fixed where sometimes a replacement was used from a wrong faction tag to replace an element in an unit

It should not be, we don't have it on our side.

Yes it is ! :(

The bug is very easy to reproduce for me.
- select a stack
- open the "unit detail" window
- go with your mouse-pointer ALL the way down to the bottom of the screen into the "unit panel", where all the other "stack members" (generals, divisions, units etc.) are
- hover the mouse-pointer over a "special ability" of a general or unit
- ... and Crash :(

It happens in 1.07 with and without Kwikfix, it does not happen in 1.06.
Im curious who else beside BigDuke66 and me can reproduce and confirm this bug !?

Regards,
Bernadotte

"detail windows bug"
So you call that!

This is the same bug I reported in the Subforum NCP Technical / Aide technique under "Critical error occurred" in December 5th, 2010.

Pocus, lodilefty - yes this grf&$§/% bug is still present. :grr:

And it is mighty annoying! :mad:

There is one single AGE engine code, so a code bug will logically affect all games using it :D

Please be patient and leave time to Pocus for fixing. Thanks

Big question now, how do we get the fixes & typo corrections of Omnius & Bohémond into it?
Will a next full patch include them?
Will the two throw their resources together to form a mod?

"detail window bug" is gone, excellent !

In 2D mode the siege icon has changed into the 3D version of the icon (little siege gun - firing) :bonk:
Could you please change it back into the 2D siege icon ?!

The pillage icon is still the 2D version though.
