Replacement use rate

Wed Dec 03, 2008 10:31 pm

I'm using Historical Attrition option enabled.
Even with that I'm getting feeling the rate Replacement points are "expended" to recove unit losses is to high!
A good testbed is the April 1813 Modder Time scenario, where COA and France units begin the campaign with ranks depleted, (FRA 80% health; COA 75% health). Just after first turn was processed almost all Replacements are used.
I'll try to investigate and test on my own, to verify if my feeling are right or I just need to add more replacements per side!
Anyway it's to be pointed out, times ago, with Historical Attrition option enabled, units could recover health only when resting at depots. Following later changes in NCP.exe codes units get replacements even when moving or in the field, far away from depots.

Interesting observation.
My experience is the use of Historical Attrition makes attrition much harsher.
I will monitor this to see if I get the same result.
