Expansion idea - Wars of the Revolution

Sat Dec 15, 2007 10:37 pm

As an expansion idea for the future, the wars of the revolution 1792-1800. Some familiar names (though perhaps with different ratings from the Imperial campaigns) - Bonaparte, Massena, Lefebvre; and on the coalition, Blucher, Charles, Brunswick. And many new names: Hoche, Dumouriez, Moreau, Jourdan, Pichegru and Suvarov for the Coaltion. Any French commander who loses a battle is removed from the game (executed) unless VPs are spent to keep him.

To make complete Napoleon's biography, the game would need three more scenarios:

- Revolutionary War (ending with Campo Formio peace treaty)
- Egyptian Expedition (while Alexander Suvorov fights the French troops in Italy-Switzerland)
- 1800 war, battle of Marengo.

Does the Spanish campaign include arrival of Napoleon and his advance to Madrid?

No need to complete the biography, just simulate the whole of the revolutionary war from '92 to 1802 (peace of amiens). Now, that would be something. But you would need some politics with that. Wish ... wish ...
