Russo-Swedish War oddities

Fri Dec 07, 2007 7:39 pm

Sorry to bother you guys with all this, weekend coming up and all ... :niark:

... but there seem to be a lot of strange things with this scenario.

I have played just about 2/3 of the scenario and it is getting increasingly spooky.

1. The Swedish army command is locked and has been since the beginning of the scenario. Is this intentional?

2. After a while the non-fort/town areas began to change side, Swedish areas going to Russia and the other way round. Now most of Estonia is Swedish and most of Sweden is Russian. This without any units actually marching through.

3. Pressing F4 hasn't achieved anything yet.

4. Now von Knorring shows up in St. Petersburg as a Russian reinforcement!?!

Has the sides somehow being reversed?

It's still fun to play, though!

My guess when playing the scenario regarding the change of military control of regions is that loyalty is assigned exactly inversed as it should be, coalition loyalty should be high in Sweden and french empire loyalty high in Russia, as of now it is the opposite.

At some level the engine probably "knows" Russia was an ally of Napoleon at this time...or at least "knows" Sweden is coalition...

Or maybe the engine is leariing, taking it´s own decisions and soon will take over the world!
