Ageod on Mac ?

Thu Dec 13, 2012 9:04 pm

Are your games available on Mac ?

I'd like to introduce an old friend to computer wargaming with your most excellent games, but he's PC-o-phobiac and almost computer-illiterate. Therefore, he can only "plug and play" a game and doesn't know (and doesn't want to know) anything else. So no WINE or other emulation system, if it even exists.

I seem to remember that ACW was available on mac, but I can't find it on your webshop (and my friend has few interest in american history - I'd prefer to offer him NCP, AJE or even WW1).
The gamersgate sells a few Ageod's for Apple system, but I'd rather not buy anything from them, for that's you who need the money.

So is it possible to get -for example- a boxed NCP for macintosh on your shop ? and how can I do this ? Many thanks for the answers ! :hat:

Some of our games were ported on Mac at the time of Paradox France and we are trying to get them back (many contractual issues need to be solved). When we have them, we'll sell them here.
But there won't be boxed versions, at least for the moment.

I hope you'll get your rights on your games back !!...

I guess my buddy can wait a few more monthes, that's not urgent at all (no santaclaus involved or harmed during the operation).

Are there any news for Ageod games on Mac ? Now that your relations with Paradox are over, do you have the right to sell them back ?

While I check your webshop, I see no information about those, so I guess the answer is still no.
What is Matrixgames policy about Apple systems ?

I think there are no plans for Mac releases...

Matrix is slowingly getting away from Microslow grip, but by making...iPad "strategy" :mdr: games.

So, for us Mac users is still bootcamp days...

Gamersgate still sells Ageod games for Mac, but for the price, I'd rather buy them here !

Ii seems that it is now very simple to run the game with Wine on a last updated GNU/Linux Ubuntu or Mint system.

Just set the Wine program to emulate Win7, clic on the RUS.EXE file and it run the game.

But i suppose that your friend want to stay with its usual MAC/OS system...

I then play RUS game with Linux :) , but i have to MOD/Dev it with Windows to be sure to debug it well :( .

Parallels works very well for me too.

But I just prefer to go bootcamp, it's even faster, even with 16gb to share in parallels :)
