On-line shop help

I've tried to purchase Great Invasions from the on-line shop via paypal and credit card. Paypal got me to the 'confirmation' screen and then gave me no more instruction. I then tried credit card and was told my purchase was 'on-hold' until the funds where verified etc. How long should this normally take? The whole idea of an online shop is to be able to download the product immediately. It's been all day and still no email with confirmation. Still no charge on my account. Is there something wrong?
