There are many of us who want the box and download option, I will not order the game till I can get both! Even if the box comes latter, let us order it NOW! I feel I speak for many of us who want both options on the 11 hour of the 11th day of the 11th month!

We shall really study this offer. The good news is that the boxes have been delivered to the warehouse yesterday, so we can now prepare the offer... give us a few more days ;)

+ 1, even if I'd have to pay a little bit more to have the box!

The cost of the box is not the real matter here...the problem would be the shipping cost (e.g. if you live in the US, it would cost US$ 15.00 extra for shipping/handling) :(

The Bpx!?

I too would prefer some solid media in support of the download. I don't have long to live and fear my hard drive will be dumped unceremoniously on my passing thereby losing the joy and value of these wonderful games. I have not tried to download the games on a disc; perhaps that would be possible, thereby saving them. If that is not possible, send me a disc at least. Surely that would not be as costly? :p apy: :coeurs:

And what about continental Europe?! (for me Germany).

I would love have the download + boxed version, both from AGEOD, because, it would mean:

1. being able to play next week, but also getting the solid product.
2. being able to give my money directamente to AGEOD without in between trade.
3. perhaps the bundle will also be cheaper than the sum of its parts...

Regards

Shipping disk or box is a small difference in overseas shipping...may be $10 instead of $15. One of the part of the cost is the handling we have to pay to the company doing the logistics (i.e. physical shipment) for us: you have also to pay the man queuing at the post office...and the queue won't be any shorter because your letter is smaller

I will pay extra for the post! My house may now be underwater or upside down , my car may now be worth 50% less this past month My daughter who is my sole heir may laugh at how small her inheritance has shrunk......But I WILL pay $15.00 extra to have the box in my game collection!!!!!

God bless the French and Texas!!!

Dear tagwyn:

I trust that you are joking and that your demise is not imminent. But if you do, indeed, have only a short time to live, why do you need a disc or a box ?? Do you plan to take the game with you ??

Me; I don't need no stinking boxes.

With Me?

Johnnie:Of course not! I am hopeful that some ancestor of mine might someday come across my collection of games and learn to love them as much as I do. If the computer is wiped . . .. Well, all is gone except for what is physically left. :coeurs:
Phil: I didn't realize the cost differential was so diminutive. I'll take a box too for another $15.00. Thanks. t

What is $15 bucks in the never ending quest for a great wargame? :neener: I need the whole works :D Box,disc and manual! Wrap it up and ship that puppy to Pennsylvania!
Of course the option to download and order the physical package at the same time is best. :)
Thanks

Hi!
Just in case somebody don't know (like Tagwyn ;) )
The game files you download can be safely and legally burned on a CD-R or DVD-R to make a physical backup of the game.
Add there a txt file with your serial number and you have all you need.
This applies to WW1 and all the rest of AGEOD games
This si not only allowed, but even encouraged to do so you have a backup of the game if you computer crash. AGEOD will usually kindly provide a new download link on this cases if you can provide some purchase proof, but this is a hassle to both the gamer and AGEOD.
Its better to do your own backup

Of course you get no nice box and printed manual, but at least you have something physical to get to your grave :D
Regards!

PS: in the case of pre ordered WW1 i would wait to 11/11 so you can burn both the pre order files and the unlocking patch on the same CD/DVD-R :)

Don't worry guys, we are working out the offer. Boxes have been delivered to our warehouse this morning, so the offer will be online.... give us a few more days, as this is not so easy to set up for a small team ;)

BTW, one major disadvantage of a box is that the game on the CD / DVD is usually the 1.00 version, so it is often quite outdated (even for a new game like WW1, the box has a version of the engine that has improved since then...) :(

i'd like a boxed version too. being in a rural area my satellite connection is not reliable for large game-type downloads.

i prefer to download patches than not have a game at all!

thanks phil!
