Unrecognized symbol on unit markers

Mon Jan 08, 2018 10:24 am

I've just played my first NC game - the Austerlitz scenario. Unfortunately Mack failed to get beaten... but never mind, Having read through this forum I can see I've misunderstood a couple of things about army/corps and synchronized movement. I'll have another go at it.

Meanwhile I see there is a symbol on both the French and Austrian unit markers that I don't recognize. It wasn't in AJE - the only other AGEOD game I've played so far...

It looks like a black UFO landing on a field of wheat? Say what? :pouet:

I've marked the mystery symbol with big red arrows on the picture below. What does it mean?

That means the stack is entrenched at least at level 1.
Instead of an UFO I have always thought i t was a gun behind some kind of fortification :)

Regards!

A gun behind a fort wall... excellent. I'll go with that. :)

It derives from a CW2 icon, and yes, a gun behind a parapet of sort. :pouet:

Oh I'm not complaining... the artwork in this game is top-notch. All the lovely portraits...
