Good job!

Hi,

I have some questions for you:

1- How many scenarios (campaigns)?
2- Which nations is possible to play?
3- Also here, like ACW, is there the war economy?
To raise units, money, supply, maybe production, and so on...

Another game very interesting, my compliments :)

Welcome,

In NCP, you'll find at least:

* 10 scenarios including Trafalgar, Peninsular War and War in Russia (Grand Campaign is not scheduled for now on).
* 2 sides , French with their allies or Forces of the Coalition.
* There is no specific war economy but many events, replacements rules, supply management with depots and wagons.
* Historical and accurate OOBs , with specific leaders portraits and troops uniforms (more than 3000 models).
La mort est un mur, mourir est une brèche.

Thanks Adlertag

Another question...

About naval combat, is there a improvement in comparison to ACW engine?

Beta testing is closed, as we are nearing release, sorry. Unless current testers goes away.

As for naval combat, it takes into acount the wind gauge and the will to engage in boarding operations, which can depend of the leader (Nelson eg).

Will the game be available on GamersGate on the day of release? I have purchased AACW on GamersGate too so I'll prefer to get NC in similar way.

I will try to buy directly from you, then. I hope the process is as easy as with GamersGate. It's just I could keep all my downloadable games in one application which is nice (to have order) but if I must I will change my habits.

By the way, I have found AACW on GamersGate site, so you have at least one faithful client thanks to that site :)

Our main next game, Vainglory, will have a complete and quite new diplomatic system (and much more btw)...

All this will be ported to a possible Napoleonic expansion, provided we sell enough NCP to justify for a second opus. If so, you would get not only a complete megalomianiacal Grand Campaign, but also an extension covering all the French Revolution...now you won't sleep till we can make this dream true...sometimes in 2009 :siffle:

Yes, my soul will not rest now, until the full Era of Napoleon is lovingly crafted by the fine fellows of AGEOD. :fleurs:

The engine has unlimited potential and can be adapted to any and all ages of combat, from the thermopili to war in the gulf.

Expansions, one by one, each on its own age + patches for all others in the engine. Every 2 years you go back to "old" ages and patch them and u build a whole community over 50 periods and scenarios of war :) :) :)

I think the sales for NPC will be good. U've proven your worth. I don't think im the only one who's waiting for it eagerly :)

Great news Phillipe,

Look forward to Vainglory of Nations and the opportunities that the new diplomatic system will bring to not just Napoleon's Campaigns, but the many other genres that would be well represented by the game engine :dada:

Just keep up the good work and success will follow!

This is too early yes because many of the features are not fixed yet. What will be there is the ability to have Crisis, between nations, where you don't exactly control what can happen. Be too aggressive when you manage the crisis, and you are left with a war, or at the very least you pass for the ruthless man (loss of Prestige).
Also we want to have very differenciated AI, which respond differently to the challenges of the world. A simple example, the British AI will take into account what was known as the Two power standard for his fleet, will despise countries potentially dangerous for this matter and will take particular measures to keep the league.
Many of the behaviors will also take into account the historical sphere of influences of each nation.

http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=5870 seems to say the game will be released in November; does this mean that a release date has been set, more or less?

(And for those who don't read Spanish threads, check out http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?p=48648#post48648 for a screenshot from Spain :) )
