Mon Sep 15, 2014 1:32 am

Are the turns 15 day periods as in CW2??

Just wondering how many turns long some of the campaigns are...25-150???

Thanks.

Turns are 7 days period ( 48 turns per year).

Spanish Ulcer is the longest scenario ( around 293 turns).

The problem with this scenario is you can, as the French, take all the objective cities and should then win the game.
I did it about 20 turns.
However the AI will not recognise the victory, and given you lose 1 morale point whilst the AI gains one per turn you are on a long hard road to defeat given the AI wins when her morale reaches 150 or something, leaving you controlling all objectives but without an enemy to attack, beat and gain morale from.
Possibly the most stupid scenario apart from the Russian one.
If you control every city on the Spanish mainland consider it a victory and quit.

I like it; it looks nice; plays Ok for an occasional player, and costs next to nothing - £8 on Amazon today in a collection of 3 AGEOD games including Pride of Nations and World War 1 Gold.

That's of hours wargames for less than a takeaway pizza.
