can you please confirm that showing "Ver. 1.07 release candidate 1" is correct for the patch ???
Does your link above "go" to the correct patch ???

Thanks,
Bernadotte

Pocus wrote:No this is odd. I'll have to check that this week end I guess. Stay tuned, and sorry for the general slowness, the big girl (Pride of Nations) is eating all our time and more.

Hi Pocus,

I'm now patiently waiting since march for any info ! :(
Do you have any news for us ?
Did you check the patch (it takes only half a hour !) ?
Is the patch correct, or did you upload the wrong version/file ?
What would be the correct version info ??

Again, thanks in advance,
Bernadotte

The forum home page sectionon latest patches says 1.06, but having downloaded it says 1.07 on startup. But I guess you knew this anyway.

A good way to confirm that a patch is most likely correct (regardless of the displayed version info) is to check the game engine .exe file to have a date stamp close to the date of the 1st post in the patch thread.

In the case of this patch, the NCP.exe file was last modified 3/13/2011, the exact same date as this patch thread was initially started, pretty much confirming that the patch is correct though the version info was not updated.
.

Thanks Gray, I made the same check loooooong ago, but I still think there is something wrong with the patch version. So I still would like to have some sort of an "official confirmation" ;)
  • if version info wasn't updatet, why then RC1 instead of RC3 ?
  • BigDuke66, me and others (s. same thread or in this one) still have "the detail windows bug" although pocus has already fixed it ?
So PLEASE, can some of the developers check the patch ?!? And confirm that they didn't made any misstakes with the versions.

Could you also PLEASE fix the version info of the patch on the main forum page, which obviously confuses people (as I already mentioned in march).
Could you please put the version info into the download filename, so you can see DURING the download which patch version you are downloading.
Is it possible, after realese of a new patch, to download the older ones ? If yes, how/where ?

Thank you,
Bernadotte

Anyway, even old patches are designed with ways to obstruct pirates ;)

Bernadotte, in case you have serious need of an older patch, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do. I may have kept a copy :D

Well if he fixed it or if he knows how to fix it then he should simple take a day or two to do it.
At this point I really only want to get my hands on a stable 1.07 and then I hope that a mod can be made to incorporate the fixes & typo corrections that Bohemond and Omnius made so we finally get this game running like it should have been years ago.

Now that the patch has been confirmed, how does one incorporated the third-party fixes?

@SAS
Well that is the problem since early this year and you & me are not alone, looks like all we can do is to wait till it's fixed.
And to be honest without the fixes of Bohemond and Omnius either incorporate into the next patch or release as mod I won't even try to play it anymore.

No fortification breach symbols here.

I'm not seeing the fortification breach symbol on the map after creating breaches (that weren't repaired). They're in NCP like the rest, right?

I also miss these fortification breach symbols. :(

Drifted over here from the Paradox (HoI3 mainly) forums. I got RoP originally and then BoA2 and recently Nap Caps - so there is interest in the older games and I wanted my first post to express appreciation for the work still being done on this game.
