That's impossible to estimate, because publishers seldom give figures, and if they do, it is with a 6 to 12 months delay. Nice guys, hey? :)

I prefer to say that I don't estimate to more than 2 hundreds the active players of NCP circulating in the forum, with perhaps 50 actively posting at most.

If you can contact this Polish community, then this would be greatly appreciated. We can offer to the webmaster a copy of NCP for his own evaluation also.

I will forward the message :)

they are real experts

cousin of my father is the best napoleonic expert in Poland probably
He wrote this and many other books about this age

but I can risk the statement these guys are on the same level of historical knowledge

Hi dakoblue ;)

Perhaps the cousin of your father has access or in his material he already haves quality portraits of polish generals of the napoleonic wars?

I am interested specially in

Ignazy Geilgutt, no portrait

Josef Zayonchek, he has a portrait in the game but IMHO is wrong. I have a pair, but in my tests in the game the result was bad

This one is of a young Zayonchek, even for a Egypt Campaign

The names in the original polish apparently are different

Ignacy Giełgud

Józef Zajączek

Taking a look at the 1809 campaign "Thunder at the Danube" i found some strange things

1- The huge french Genie (engineers) units (10.000 men strong :blink :) reported and fixed this summer on the Peninsular Campaign and 1805 campaign are back (or never were fixed on the 1809 scen :bonk :) . On turn one there are like 10 units like this on map.

2- A few enemy stacks on map show a graphic glitch i've never seen before. The little panel under the soldier figure (where the dots are) is transparent. It seem to happen only on some small militia/irregular kind on units :bonk:
Screen attached below.

3- The French Dalmatia Army (under Marmont and stationed on... dalmatia ;) has all his corps spread over Europe: Warsaw, Hannover, Frankfort...) all 1.000 km plus away.
Is this intended/historical??

Cheers!

LocalStrings_NCP15d

Tue Nov 18, 2008 12:51 pm

Just got my copy of NCP_DB (17 Nov.)
http://ageoddl.telechargement.fr/latest/NCP_DB.zip

Small mistake to notify in LocalStrings_NCP15d EXL file.

Locate line 6206: Model_ShortName__FRA_Inf14
It's a wrong "duplicate" of 6197!

it's to be corrected to:
Model_ShortName__FRA_Inf23
I checkd Model_DB and indeed we have a FRA_Inf23 !

To Pocus: I'll send you the fixed version of LocalStrings_NCP15d, as soon as I'll catch some more relevent mistakes to fix. :neener:
Meanwhile look at present report as a note to remember the trouble!

On NC vs. AACW. I like both. I love the Napoleonic era. I guess it has something to do with the pomp and pagentry. I still pick it up to play on a semi-reg. basis, as well as check for updates and patches. I have played every scenario at least once, and the longer ones many, many times. But in my humble view it can't compare to AACWs Grand camp. There is just not enough to do other than direct your forces hither and yon. The options additions helped some. I have even added the reinforcments and other options to all of the longer scenarios to spice up my own games. But in my heart I'm waiting and hoping for NC2 with a GC.

I have noticed a marked change in the AI of the Russian army since installing the 1.05 patch. The Russians seem to be sending far fewer cossacks into the rear of French territory - perhaps it is something to do with 'hide' and 'patrol' values and maybe my forces are not detecting them like they used to. Whatever it is, in general the AI seems to be less agressive (and I've only ever played with aggressiveness set to the minimum.) Anyone else noticed this?

Hi!
Can't find the link now :bonk:
But... are you sure you need it?? only for the 1.00 game version, used only on the french boxed edition.
Any other boxed editions or the AGEOD direct download version don't need it
Cheers!

It is still available but is not in my sig anymore as I believe nobody need it now (crossing fingers here, I hope no publisher will undust an old NCP 1.00 master copy before asking us if we patched the game and have a more recent version!)

If I order it from your site (here) and I'm in America, I most likely don't need it then, right?

As far as I understand that patch was only needed for the (first) French version.
As Arsan said:

Use 1.05a and have fun
