I do not know if this is the right thread to post this, but here it goes.

I knew from my PW games that Delaborde had not a specific portrait, but checking in the database, noticed that there are 2 Delabordes, both Henri

In the french wikipedia there is a huge list of french generals of the napoleonic times, but with only 1 Henri Delaborde

http://fr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cat%C3%A9gorie:G%C3%A9n%C3%A9ral_de_la_R%C3%A9volution_ou_du_Premier_Empire&from=Carteaux%2C+Jean-Fran%C3%A7ois

So, the question is, is this WAD? There were in fact two?

The only portrait I could find is this, very low quality

Seems the second one is an extra...the bug was spotted in the DB and I remember having fixed it... I have removed the "name" png file...rank 1 generals have no portraits (they use the general1.png image)...but don't alter the db now if you are playing / modding, you would lose your other efforts...just take a note of this for next update :indien:

OK, but there is a Delaborde portrait in the units folder

So this is not Delaborde? Seems different to the low quality picture available in internet. And looks different to this one in Osprey's Vimeiro

PD: but you are on holidays, are you not? ;)

This is a "recycled" picture... this is French Minister of Navy Denis Decrès (he is not used anywhere in the game for the time being, so we "recycled" his picture...good pick :sourcil: )

OK thanks for the info.

I have made some true Delabordes based on Osprey's book, but he is not as good as your "not so true" Delaborde :niark:

PD: a Navy Minister? was he not an admiral, but a politician? Interesting :cwboy:

He was both, and an admiral at first...but probably found sailing the Navy office safer than poor battered French SOLs at sea :sourcil:

An update for your favorite Napoleonic Game ;)

================================================== ============================
THIS PATCH DOES NOT WORKS FOR THE 1.00 VERSION, if you have not installed
the Foundation Patch before.
================================================== ============================

================================================== ============================
Napoleon's Campaigns Patch 1.04b / June, 2008
================================================== ============================

================================================== ============================
Gameplay
================================================== ============================
- Because of a large variety in size (from 500 to 4000 men!), some elements can assault with undue penalties in NCP (for example Prussian Batallion, being small, are very penalized in close combat). A normalization factor has been applied, for better historical results. Note that elements weakened always get a penalty.

================================================== ============================
Scenarios & events
================================================== ============================
- Improved Gibraltar defense: fortress is now level 4, with strong depot, reinforced garrison and a commander very able in fort defense...
- Cadiz improved to level 3 fortress

- Newly added Allied merchant shipping in some scenarios to provide sea supply capacity (very useful for the Brits in 1804, Anglo-Spanish in 1808-1814, but also the Russians or Swedes in respective 1812 and 1808 scenarios)

- Last but not least, included the complete leadership revision by Arnaud Bouis of all leaders abilities and values (pro-allies balancing fix)

================================================== ============================
Database
================================================== ============================
- Some leaders values adjusted further.

================================================== ============================
AI
================================================== ============================
- AI improved on several aspects (seeking the enemy, defending valuable position, resting troops).

Bought and downloading the game now(25 Nov 08) will it be updated to 105a and if not where do I get the foundation patch? Thanks, :)

Hi!

The last patch (1.05a) thread is just behind this thread :)
Here is the link http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=11365

The foundation patch is not needed unless you bought the first edition of the retail French version.
If you bought it by direct download from AGEOD or MATRIX or any othre retail edition, you just need the last patch :thumbsup:

Actually, I think that the version that is sold through Gamer's Gate also needs the foundation patch.

In any case, you'll see pretty fast if you need it or not :)

I got it from GamersGate and I'm pretty sure you don't need the foundation patch.

Caboose: So I say to the guy, "How you going to get the tank down to the planet?" And he goes, "I'll just put it on the ship." And I go, "If you've got a ship that can carry a tank, why not just put guns on the ship and use it instead?"
Tucker: Hey kid?
Caboose: Yeah?
Tucker: You're ruining the moment. Shut up.
