Duplicate model name question

For example, there are two models named $Model_Name_AUS_Chl3.
UIDs 487 and 488 are different models with the same name representing one or two squadrons.

The Units file creates AUS_ChevLegerBde3, saying in Notes column it will call
1 rgt cheveaux-leger 2 esc and calling for model type 0, AUS_Chl3|1.

How does the program know UID 487 is wanted, not 488? If I was creating new units, how would I pick the duplicate model that I want?

I must be missing something :bonk:

What is in the Alias column? That is what should be used by the engine, and be different....

It appears that in my attempt to create a Stoichevich Division to send down to Dalmatia in 1809, wanting a squadron or two of cheveaux-legers, I stumbled on the one and only double entry in the alias column of the NCP Models directory.

You're right...darn :grr: I believe the engine will select the first one... :indien:

We'll fix that with next patch though, it does not seem to create a major problem (or does it?) :siffle:

It did select the first one, in the 1895 scenario.
