The Quatro Pro spreadsheet program saves cvs files as comma delimited, as follows:
0,ENG,Highlanders,uni_ENG_Inf1,NULL,$uni_txt_ENG_Highlanders,$Land,Army_Highlander1_ENG.png.......etc, etc. No quotation marks. The settings cannot be changed.

I can open this file in Notepad and use find and replace to replace all commas " , " with semicolons " : "

Should this make the file useable for the cvs splitter?

I would recommend that you download the excellent and free office suite Open Office: http://www.openoffice.org/
The spreadsheet program included in this package has configurable output filter for the csv-format.

It might. Try doing it [save csv, global replace, csv splitter] for a file that you haven't modded, and compare to the original file from the 'vanilla'....

I use FCOMPARE for stuff like this - free, somewhere on the web... :o

but a semicolon is ;
not : :siffle:

Now you know why;;; I'd like a fully featured scenario editor: (colon)...Less typing! :)
