Wrong names in NCP regions excel file

Thu Jan 24, 2008 3:16 pm

Hi
I have found that some names of regions are wrong, however they are rightly displayed in the NCP map, for instance Pisa is written Gisa in the names section (UID 339) but in the map it is rightly displayed as Pisa, why could be the reason for that?

Still I don´t get it, the differences between alias and display name, at least i assumed that by changing the name in the xcl file I would be able to chenge the display name, right?

for the display name, what is important is the name in the region file, the .rgn

The regions.xls file, is here to build the alias mostly. With the utility, you can now use it to update all the thousands rgn easily too.

Ok, I am relieved the work I am already done is not worthless, I am almost done with all the names that need to be changed for the mod.

Out of curiosity, what is the alias for then?
