Locating structure within a region

Mon Jan 21, 2008 7:12 pm

Where, oh where, does the x,y coordinate of a structure within a region get defined?

I'd like to slightly shift the location of New Bedford in BoA.....

Thanks Gray,

I don't have ExMap, nor do I know where to get it. Is it AGEOD proprietary?

I'll fiddle directly with the .rgn file, CAREFULLY.

Depends on what work you want to do... the Exmap feature is not so easy to handle... :cwboy:

I started looking at the accuracy of Port exits for BoA and WIA. I've sent data to Hok, but I know he's swamped.

I've manually adjusted my copy of BoA by directly entering NavalInterdiction jumplinks into .rgn files, and just successfully moved New Bedford structures to a more correct location (per Gray's post). I also discovered that Coo2 dataset moves the "port" symbol. Now I'm wondering what Coo1 and Coo3 do?

I'm willing to learn ExMap, and use it to help with WIA if needed, and later do mods for BoA. Cartography has always been a passion of mine, and with Gray to help me, how can I go wrong? :siffle:

OK, send a PM to Hok and myself with your email coordinates and we shall arrange for you to get a download link to the Exmap utility (will be heavy, around 400 Mb) :indien:
