Error(s) found: 1
--------------START OF SCRIPT----------------
Line 0: Creating scenario, path & name: J:\Program Files\AGEod's American Civil WarOriginal\ACW\Scens\1861 April Campaign PBEM2.scn
Line 2: Started processing event: 1861 April Campaign Setup
Line 2: This event is not yet referenced, base number of allowed occurences 1

I am getting this error report from the script report when I am trying to create a new scenario.

The scenario name is 1861 April Campaign PBEM2.scn
The event file name is 1861 April Campaign PBEM2 made from a copy of the original.
The city file name is CitiesCampaign61PBEM2

I have had this error a number of times in the past. I have solved it in the past by accident. I have never really understood what causes the error. This time I haven't been able to solve the problem by accident.

Any ideas as to what is causing the problem? I assume it has something to do with the name of the event file but I don't know.

PS: I have tried to changing the first reference to events in the setup file to
1861 April Campaign PBEM2 Setup but that does not help.

Hi Jagger!

Can you post the whole log-file please? The part you posted does not contain the error but only the indication that one error occurred. :sourcil:
Search for '=>' in the log file, it will point to the error.

Cheers

Well I solved that problem. I started substituting orginal files for modded files. It turns out the error was in the cities file.

So I completely redid everything in the cities file bit by bit, retesting as I went along. I finally had it done and the cities changes were functioning.

I thought I was done.

But then I did my final test with a real game, I discovered neither the Union nor the CSA are receiving their reinforcement pools. Not only that but the Brits are now active from turn one of the game. That is a very weird first. I can't believe I touched anything that would impact either reinforcements pools or cause automatic activation of the British.

Very, very, very frustrating.
