AIGuide_1862 Shiloh.inc and adding str***'s to LocalStrings

Sat Nov 03, 2007 9:48 pm

Where does this come from (the AIGuide_1862 Shiloh.inc) in the default Shiloh default scenario? What do I need to do to make one for my Bentonville scenario and what is contained in it (I haven't checked yet)?

Also, in the LocalStrings_ACW29d is it ok to add these anywhere in the file?
// *** 1865 Battle of Bentonville scenario Name & Description *** #1
Str1865BentonvilleVC_USA
Str1865BentonvilleVC_CSA
Str1865BentonvilleDispName
Str1865BentonvilleDescription
Str1865BentonvilleDuration
Str1865BentonvilleFavored
Str1865BentonvilleBackground1
Str1865BentonvilleBackground2

I added it right after the last scenario str's and above the Units Names, starting at Cell 903. Also, it automatically converted the s to a capital S. i am sure there is a setting in Open Office to prevent it but does it even matter as long as I use the capital S version?

I don't think so, as they appear to be empty. However, just be safe and copy one of the other AI guides and apply it to your scenario.

Yeah I noticed that after I went and looked at it....odd, lol.

As for the capitalization thing in Open Office....I looked it up and it is supposably not suppose to happen in a new version than I have so I am just going to download the update and see if it lets me keep the lowercase letters lowercase instead of uppercase if they are the first word in a cell. It was supposeably fixed in July 2007, which my version is older than. Don't know why in the heck there isn't an option to turn it on and off from the options menu in Calc.

I made a new file (just too be safe) and named it AIGuide_Yourscenerio.Inc.
It was a wordpad file and was empty.
