Event Testing - WIA

Sat May 23, 2009 11:56 pm

Hello,

All setup and events and cities loaded with no errors. I checked script log.
I check units and start locations, all looks good.
I then save my scenario file.

I have turned off AI. I then load up my scenario as if it was a new game.

I play British 1st. I go to move a fleet, and it won't budge.

I have only blocked Netherlands (Land) & Cadiz (Land).

I have started it in the Channel.

What am I doing wrong?

Thx!

Please zip and upload here:

  • The DB [excel file]
  • The scenario [.scn file]
  • The events [.sct file]

I assume you created no new models or units?
Always ask yourself: "Am I part of the Solution?" If you aren't, then you are part of the Problem!

Lodi,

I did create 2 new models, and 3 new units. They appear correctly in testing.

But I had the same problem before I added the new models or the new units.

I can easily go back to no new models and no new units.

One new unit was French transport fleet. Didn't exist like the British one, 4 transports, so I added it. I then added 2 Engineers, one for British, one for French. They are not in the game yet.

I was setting them up for later in my game. I can change the French Transport to Spanish transport if you prefer I have no new units or models.

Let me know, and I will upload my vanilla one 1st.

Lodi,

All working. After I save the game, I have to completely shut down, then restart game. Then all the ships move.

I can now test my events.

I have ony 2 new models and 3 new units so far. I will probably need only leaders now & maybe a couple more units, almost all of the stuff I need I can borrow from units already built.

Great stuff!

Yes! You cannot play/move in the editor!
