How to replace commanders in scenarios

Well, let's say I wish to replace St-Cyr in the 1805 scenario with Desaix being the replacement. How do you do that?

Find the Desaix unit alias in the Units.xls DB, then replace the Saint Cyr alias unit in the setup xls file by the Desaix one, and re-create scenario... not sure it is worth the amount of efforts

It is much easier in ACW. I just replaced McDowell with McCllelan. (WhY?) t
