Event questions

Mon Oct 20, 2008 6:39 am

Hi all,

I have several event questions for BoA/WiA. I quess I could just try these and find out, but I thought I would ask first.

1. Can supply units be auto-raised? If I specify them just like the militia units, will the auto-raise feature, produce them during the January/July auto-raise events?

2. I was wanting to create an event that would cause the early end of the war. Currently for BoA I have created two alternate 1775 scenarios that end early (from a negotiated settlement). Is there any script command I can give in an event that would cause the scenario to end pre-maturely?

Imaginative interrogations, I like that!

1. yes. Nothing hardcoded against a kind of unit. Specify the autoraise rule and the autoraise force pool (ForcePool) in the units' xls file, and it should work.

2. I would say that in an event you can enable sudden death and tweak the Morale Lose/Win level of one or both faction so that the end game is triggered.

Thanks, I am going to try the end game thing first. If it works, I think I can get rid of the two alternate scenarios I created (for early endings), and simply make the 75/76 campaigns more crazy since the human player can't be sure if one of the American diplomats (Adams and Franklin) will negoitiate an end to the war instead of an alliance with France.

I tried this, but so far nada. RulSuddenDeath is set to 1 in the setup.

SelectFaction = $ENG
StartEvent = evt_nam_AdamsNegotiatesPeace|999|2|NULL|Event-img2_Tories.bmp|NULL|NULL

Conditions
MinDate = 1776/02/01
Probability = 99

Actions
SetWinLevel = 1

EndEvent
