I found, when working with the amries/units/models graphics, its best to add a portrait and a leader directory.

You can just add the 2 directories and separate the graphics accodingly. BOA will still locate the files when its time to load them for a game.

It helps the keep things sorted out, and its much easier to locate stuff.

Quite right, you can move everything within the Graphics directory, it should work, except for the logo directory.

You have added new folders to the BOA Graphics folder. Can one also add new sub folders to the Armies and fleets, Models and/or units folders?

As you mentioned I only added folders to the BOA/Graphics folder.

But try your idea, just create a new sub folder and cut and paste your graphics into the sub folder, and if BOA finds em, it works!

I tried it and it works. In NCP/Graphics/Units I created subfolder Artillery. I cntl-X moved four common artillery pngs to the subfolder. The pictures showed normally when I opened the game.

I'm thinking of an artillery mod. Its difficult to differentiate calibers with the current, generic images. I may even give major nations properly colored arty pictures.

I have thought about the correct color thing myself. I would try that first because the calibre thing may be hard to notice.
