Fix for Fort Carillon Bug in Montcalm's scenario

Wed Jun 13, 2007 5:14 am

Fort Carillon is not appearing in Montcalms scenario.

Here is the fix.

Open the 1756 Montcalm file in the Events folder.

Do a word search for this line:

SelectFaction = $FRA
StartEvent = evt_nam_FortCarillon|1|1|NULL|NULL|NULL|NULL

Replace the second from last NULL with $Crown Point.

Line should look like this:

SelectFaction = $FRA
StartEvent = evt_nam_FortCarillon|1|1|NULL|NULL|$Crown Point|NULL

Save the events file.

Should work now. The fix can be introduced into a PBEM game prior to Oct 1756 and still work.

Well, I've just done this and still not seeing any fort or other structure in Crown Point. Any ideas? I restarted computer, but no structure.

If you would, copy and paste your change from the events file so we can look at your change to see if it is correct.

Do not forget that your game must not be past autumn 56.

Arrgghhh, I have a bad habit of asking questions before I've fully investigated an issue. Just the worst example of a forum poster, ever. In sum, it seems that Fort Carillon appears in 1756, not at the start of the game. The fix works just fine. Thanks to the very patient support staff who have held my hands through this, particularly given the Napoleon launch. You're a great bunch!

Is this fix also in the boa legacy patch or must we fix it manually ?
