Here are some updated Brunwick types that I must have re-done a while back, because they look a lot cleaner than my previous effort.

They are darker than before as well.

I have both games, and I mod both.

And the soldier graphics work in both games as well.

Also, something I noticed from original BOA.

Phil provided the British with 3 turnback colors. So these equate as follows to the new turnback colors I now have for the AWI guys.

1756 Buff (for Buff faced regiments) = 1775 Yellow

1756 Blue (for Royal regiments) = 1775 Blue (although the blue is a little gay)

1756 Green (for everything else) = 1775 Red

Also,

The main reason I don't play a lot of WIA, is the LASER PINK unit cards for the Germans, which I have corrected for this screenie --->

WIA color for the German troops is found in the ColorAlias.inc file in the alias section...

$colGERRegular = 229|125|229|255

If you don't like it, you can easily change it in less than a second :D

But I still love BOA1 a great deal. And I always can find time to play this game now days.

One of the biggest detractions from the BOA1 map, was the fact that blocked regions like rivers and sea zones, would not display properly.

This was really a splitter issue, and once I fixed them (years ago) using the CSV splitter, the map looked great in all respects.

My interest sill lies in these first 2 games. BOA1 and AACW. I have been able to import just about any BOA2 feature back to BOA1 except the exe of course.

Well, I changed the 1776 British guys one more time.

I just didn't like the hat. I did not look "British" to me.

And the figure looked too big. You have to be careful because I think Robin did all the original British guys and they are more diminuative.

Soo, there werent' to many hats to choose from, so I just used the one from the 1756 British.

It looks more British, and now the figures seem to fit better with the rest of the British Army.

Sheesh :bonk:

The Orange Coats Are Coming

One thing has become very clear about this little project. :neener:

I am NOT the right person for the job. :mdr:

After reviewing the last set of these new British (see above post), I noticed the lace on the hats had been gomered. It was too thick. Also, I wanted to darken the hats a little bit. So I did that.

What is even more funny about the AWI guys, is that I just could not figure out how to get a brick red coat, so I went with scarlet, which is what the BoA artist used anyway.

And, I included a coat for the Provincials, which is just like the old colonial coat (burnt orange), which is just barely different from the regular scarlet (orange) coat.

Anyway, I am not including any third party soldier art, because I want this to look as much as possilbe like original BoA.

Here is a glimpse at all of the Brits, expect the 1861 guys that I have imported from ACW.
