Modding inquiries

Hi -- complete NOOB to modding here folks, just have some general questions.

1) How many "official" mods are there, and which are the best (by popular opinion) to use. Links appreciated

2) This seems to be a game in constant progress, supported by a maginificent fan base the likes of which I have never seen for an independent game such as this...when a patch drops, will a particular mod have to be updated to accomodate that patch?

3) Furthermore (to AGEOD team) -- do patches incorporate past mods?

4) Can I run multiple mods at the same time? (i.e., are they cummulative?)

5) Do most PBEM players use mods for their games, or do they stick to the core engine rules? I have yet to try a PBEM game and it will likely be some time before I am confident enough to do so...but in the meantime I was just curious.

Thanks to all in advance -- I can't say this enough, but great game (albeit unfinished at the moment, but that is a GOOD thing in this case)!!!

So am I correct in assuming that a mod for patch 1.09 will not work for 1.10?

Is there somewhere I can find a list of all downloadable mods for 1.10?

1) not mine :niark:

2) varies with the sort of changes a patch add, and the type of mod. Mine is highly sensible to patch and needs generally updates, if only for balance. More focused mod , like the leader mod, should be more constant

3) yes. RR accuracy mod by example ( and a really good one, IMHO the most useful of all the mods)

4) yes. You can run several versions of the game, and since the 1.09, AACW has got a command line option to create shorcuts launching a peculiar mod. But ask and search in the forum to get more lenghty replies about that, the processus remaining clumsy

AACW is finished :cwboy: . Tht's not to say no more patches and changes but the game is fully playable and fun and I bet it will remain the same engine for 95%...
