This is a HUGE work that would be tantamount to redoing almost all the game DB...

1 - We need to cut the maps into the new regions, and rework all adjacencies with the new regions, then rebuild the DB
2- We have to modify all the Areas DB files to include the new one
3 - We have to redo all the scenarios with the new regions

All in all, for me we knows the stuff by heart, almost 1 week of work full time, with hundreds of known and unknown side-effects...

Really not worth the trouble...unless there are over 50 regions to add/redo and a major fix...and we have to find time for it :siffle:

If we could spend 3-4 full days together, I could show and explain, but the work would still remain to be done...

sorry :p leure:

Yes 1523 is the last region. Some of the last regions are missing indeed in regions.xls

Gray is now surely one of the most respected members of this forum. The work he is doing with RR correction is amazing and almost super-human.
Hire the man !! :cwboy:

We shall help if need be, I just say it's worthless to do if for only one region...the work/interest ratio would be unbelievably unbalanced. :tournepas

Gray could always just add the region to his copy of the game, and not bother with trying to make it part of the official ACW game.

Then you get the enjoyment of the extra region all the same, right?

:bonk:

Well,

I like historical realism as much as anyone does. And I always appreciate it when a person works hard to make the game more historical.

But, when historical accuracy becomes an obsession, it can be counter productive.

After all, it is just a game.

... and the purpose of a game is having fun. In this, as in other areas of a humans's life, if you are adult and no harm is done to nobody, go ahead :niark: .
No need to worry about Gray, I believe he is having a blast checking ancient RR lines, and the rest of us can only benefit (or simply disregard) the fruits of his work.
