I just got my copy of AACW. I love open ended games though so i wonder if there is some kind of no time limit mod or if i can easily mod it myself.
This would be especially useful for the grand campaigns that start in 1863 or 64 but also for the longer 1861 grand campaigns. >100 turns is a lot of time but i would nonthless love it if there would be some kind of no-timelimit mod

Even if the scenario 'officially' ended the game allows you to play further. You can also easily change the scenario length via the
ScenStart and
ScenEnd commands in the script. (You need to rebuild the scenario however.)

So when the scenario officially ends the game gives me the choice to continue playing? Like in the Total War games or Crown of Glory? That are very good news indeed

Yup, the game doesn't just stop when you reach the end. You can continue to play for as long as you want or have an enemy to play against it appears.

I think Primasprit played the 1864 Campaign, Union side up to 2074, has he had some problems winning

Oh wait, was it not after a massive ingestion of Primasprit by Primasprit?

Well, that wasn't the problem. But I should have taken less of the turpentine...
