There is no real guide, but there is a thread discussing it's use.

see:http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=3974

What are you using for the "separator" character?

Gray_Lensman wrote:If you bother to check the links I posted above, you will find that you indeed replaced Phil's name with your own in the Shiloh scenario. And yes, it does bother me more than you, because I am responsible to ensure that this does not happen and you slipped this one by me not once, but three times. Is it any wonder why I wanted more documentation of changes you were submitting so that I could go directly to your listed individual changes and skip over all the other highlighted information?

Again, I'll state it quite clearly. Making changes to another person's work and then replacing his name with your own is by definition "Plagiarism". That is why no matter how many changes I have made, I never place my name in the database files, and I've made a heck of a lot more changes to the database files than you've ever dreamed of.

see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plagiarism

It looks to me that I did'nt replace his name with mine but added my name with his. I think there is a difference here. This is silly nitpicking.

Are you using OpenOffice or MS exel. I suggest using OpenOffice its free and there is no delimiter issues that have'nt been worked out.. here is the link.

Being one of what I imagine are quite few around here who can understand what they are saying, it becomes even more hilarious :D

Gray & bigus; feelings are running high here. I would like to see you two take a step back and think about the good stuff you yourselves have done and what "the other" has done, both alone and when working together. You'll find that there is a lot more common ground than there are issues that separate you.

(At this point, I'll refrain from asking you to give each other a hug, but I hope you see where I'm going with this :) )

If I haven't followed up on your scenario development stuff yet, Bigus, apart from my wife's emergency appendectomy last weekend (and its repercussions into this week), I've been "distracted" (as if playing AACW is the central purpose of being) by holiday preparations and celebrations (including birthdays & wedding anniversary, our 30th!). Busy, busy, busy! It's doubtful, but let me see if I can look into your tutorial (also Red River OOB) sometime this weekend.

Guess we had a cultural misunderstadment.
For Italian people replying to questions with a simple yes or not in impolite. We have to enrich all with tons of words! That’s all! :neener:

Unfortunately un-detailed informations are putting me in troubles, most of times. That’s reason why I insist for clarifications. Then while for most of you English is mother language, for me that’s not.
BTW, the absence of an official editing guide is till a trouble! Anyway the only way to work for all gamers interest is sharing what we know. We are lucky in so far all AGEod engine games share same codes, there’s no reason to boycott or hamper information flow.

Many forumities have been honoured by AGEod official titles and they work for mods to be officialised.
That’s not true for me: Modder Times was born as an 3rd party projects. The great advantage is in term of working freedom: I have not to ask for permissions when modding a file, or to keep aware of the risk of my editing decision for others. When asked, I was anyway always ready to offer my support to the official game version.

I had no chance to go after Bigus mods. :(
I followed with great interest most recent improvement Gray_Lensman worked. BRAVO!
Hope to catch out time to play again AACW, for sure I'll be pleased by the last changes you all produced!
