There seems to be quite a bit of confusion, even among the modding experts, exactly how this whole modding/scenario creation business is supposed to work. (Apologies if I have misconstrued the situation.)

Maybe if Pocus could spell out, in precise detail, how exactly to go about this, it would be a tremendous help. Or is there a modders guide available already that, evidently, needs to be expanded, embellished, and clarified?

Maybe use the AACW Wiki for this purpose?

1862 West theatre Scenerio is finished. I'm just waiting for the Strings to be done hopefully by the man Berto and its a go...... :dada:

I actually included part of Georgia for all the folks wanting to recreate the kentucky invasion if possible. (also cause some of the West War Supplies come from Atlanta).

Up next is the East 1862 Theatre scenerio.

Just wanted to jump back in and say thanks to everyone for the info.

I did end up buying the game regardless, and have become completely enthralled. Hence why I haven't even been back to reply! After reading through the manual, the wiki, and several helpful threads on here I felt confident enough to handle the whole campaign and I'm finding that it's not too overwhelming. I'm still very early in the war though, and I'm playing on very easy settings as I'm using this more to learn the system than for a real challenge. It seems to be working. I'm slowly getting a grasp on everything and don't feel completely overwhelmed.

I tried earlier placing all the files in the "pre-release" version of the one theatre campaigns and must've messed something up because my game wouldn't load anymore! I ended up having to uninstall and re-install. Is it just a matter of taking the files and dumping them into the folder under AACW that houses the same file extension? I think I did th at ok, but the .CSV files I think they were I didn't see where to put. (I could be off here, I'm at work now and can't look at it, but I think it was an excel format, maybe .XLS)

Thanks again though, and what a fantastic game.
