goods?

Thu Jul 17, 2008 3:26 am

I'm bound to get slammed for this, but just today I noticed a unit in the support group called 'goods.' Playing the SVF mod.

What is that unit?

I haven't found any reference to it in the manual, other than a unit symbol. In the forums I found one reference saying it isn't used in AACW, but in BOA.

Yes indeed, it is used in the Yorktown scenario.

The British player gets victory points by destroying these locked units. Hence, he is compelled to a more offensive strategy.

Nice design trick which should be used for more scenarios IMHO.

In AACW it has been added in case a modder (like Clovis) want to simulate strategic goods (pile of cotton in the harbor warehouses) or slaves to free.
